“Wizards of Waverly Place” Ends with the Wizard Competition

Since premiering 51 months ago and after 108 episodes and a TV movie, Wizards of Waverly Place, one of Disney Channel’s longest running series, comes to an end.
In the  one-hour finale (“Who Will Be The Family Wizard?” at 8 p.m. ET/PT (January 6) on Disney Channel), Justin, Alex and Max face a sudden and ultimate test to determine which one of them will be entitled to keep their wizardly powers.
Wizards of Waverly Place stars Selena Gomez as Alex Russo, David Henrie as Justin Russo, Jake T. Austin as Max Russo, Jennifer Stone as Harper Finkle, Maria Canals-Barrera as Theresa Russo and David DeLuise as Jerry Russo.
Tonight’s finale also includes guest appearances by series regulars Bridgit Mendler as Justin’s vampire girlfriend Juliet Van Heusen and Gregg Sulkin as Alex’s werewolf boyfriend Mason.
The series has score impressive ratings for Disney Channel over its four years in premieres, led by (only includes first broadcasts, Live+SD data, viewers 2+):
