Hollywood Records’ artists Allstar Weekend have been in the studio working on their new summer album, and are ready to premiere their latest single, “Not Your Birthday.” The single will premiere on Radio Disney February 25 and mark its debut at Top 40 radio when Allstar Weekend visits Z100 in New York on March 3. Allstar Weekend recently shot the video for “Not Your Birthday” in Los Angeles. Directed by Marc Klasfeld (Nelly, Jay-Z, ‘N Sync), the video is set to premiere on the Disney Channel March 6. In addition to being included on their yet-to-be-named new album, “Not Your Birthday” will be featured in the new Disney movie, “Prom,” set for theatrical release April 29. The “Prom” soundtrack will be available April 26 and features Allstar Weekend, Neon Trees, Travie McCoy, and many more.
Allstar Weekend has been recording with producers and songwriters J.R. Rotem (Rihanna, Britney Spears, Jason Derulo) and S*A*M and Sluggo (Katy Perry, Gym Class Heroes), and are excited to debut “Not Your Birthday” during their Glamour Kills tour with The Ready Set. Said lead Allstar Weekend lead singer Zach Porter, “We can’t wait to perform our new single live for our fans. It’s a fun call-to-action song about living every day to the fullest.”
On Saturday, February 26, Allstar Weekend will be featured as the first ever “One to Watch” on MTV’s “Ten On Top” program at 11:30 AM. The “Ten On Top” crew caught up with the band at the video shoot for “Not Your Birthday.”
Over the past year, Allstar Weekend have made a name for themselves with over 5.5 million YouTube views, over 750,000 Facebook friends, and over 100,000 followers on Twitter. They’ve performed on Good Morning America, Arthur Ashe Kids Day, Rachael Ray and Lopez Tonight, with myriads of fans waiting overnight to be the first in line to see the band. They’ve sold out two US tours and dates in the UK, and have been featured in magazines from Billboard to People Magazine to Alternative Press to Tiger Beat, BOP and Pop Star. Allstar Weekend was recently tapped to share the stage with Selena Gomez and Jonas Brothers for the third annual Concert for Hope, benefiting City of Hope at the Gibson Amphitheater on March 20.
