Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day Of Play! Too Much Fun For One Afternoon!

by Anne M. Raso

I have to report in to ontheteenbeat.com and say that this past Saturday's Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day Of Play was too much fun! Not only did people have the chance to run or walk a 4K "race" sponsored by Nick and Big Brothers Big Sisters Of New York City, but the day started off just right with Keke Palmer singing the national anthem. Of course, there were moon bounces and other fun games lined up--not to mention live Nickelodeon games and performances onstage. A few folks got slimed, Victoria Justice and Miranda Cosgrove performed, and Keke Palmer was a good sport about playing a live game of Brain Surge. As you know, Nick went off the air for three hours on Saturday (Noon to 3PM Eastern Time) in the hopes that kids would move away from the boob tube for a little while and get some activity. What was our personal high point of the afternoon besides getting to interview Keke and Miranda? Seeing Spongebob and other Nick characters running in the 4K race. They must have felt hot in those costumes, as the temp was in the 80s at the time! We'll be publishing the Keke and Miranda interviews soon, so stay tuned right here on ontheteenbeat.com!
